Description | The YDSEEP department seeks applied mathematicians and/or physicists interested in applying their expertise to environmental science problems. Candidates with background in one or more of the following fields are encouraged to apply, although candidates with other backgrounds may also be considered: statistical physics, nonlinear dynamics, (geophysical) fluid dynamics, pattern formation, mathematical modeling of environmental systems, and mathematics and physics of global scale processes and climate change. The successful candidate is expected to be interested in collaborating with researchers at various BIDR departments and to contribute to the M.Sc. program of YDSEEP. The candidate will also be asked to teach undergraduate course(s) in a department on the main BGU campus, and will be offered an adjunct faculty position there (upon mutual agreement). | |
