Faculty of Health Sciences
The Department of Clinical Biochemistry & Pharmacology at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, Israel, is seeking candidates for a full-time tenure-track faculty position. The position will become vacant on October 1st 2022. The successful candidate will be expected to provide leadership in education and research, preferably in the discipline of pharmacology, and to develop her or his own independent laboratory research program. Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences
The Department of Psychology at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, Israel, invites outstanding applications for several academic tenure-track appointments (open rank; per qualifications and experience) in Social and Clinical Psychology. The Jacob Blaustein Institutes for Desert Research
The ZIWR is a vibrant young research institute located within the Blaustein Institutes for Desert Research at the Sede Boqer Campus of Ben-Gurion University of the Negev. Established in 2002, the ZIWR has since become a leading water institute in Israel through its dynamic and innovative working environment, hosting over 100 researchers, staff members, and graduate students. The ZIWR announces a cluster hire of two tenure-track faculty (at the rank of Lecturer or Senior Lecturer, parallel to Asst. Prof.) who focus on significant water related research topics as listed below: 1. Water sciences/ Catchment hydrology: HIGH PRIORITY - Catchment hydrology; large- scale hydrological modeling; catchment-scale contaminant transport; hydrological modeling and "big-data"; and artificial intelligence in hydrological science. 2* Nanomaterials in water and the environment including micropollutants: This is an emerging topic that addresses the global water concerns that can affect human and ecosystem health. The Jacob Blaustein Institutes for Desert Research
The YDSEEP department seeks applied mathematicians and/or physicists interested in applying their expertise to environmental science problems. Candidates with background in one or more of the following fields are encouraged to apply, although candidates with other backgrounds may also be considered: statistical physics, nonlinear dynamics, (geophysical) fluid dynamics, pattern formation, mathematical modeling of environmental systems, and mathematics and physics of global scale processes and climate change. The successful candidate is expected to be interested in collaborating with researchers at various BIDR departments and to contribute to the M.Sc. program of YDSEEP. The candidate will also be asked to teach undergraduate course(s) in a department on the main BGU campus, and will be offered an adjunct faculty position there (upon mutual agreement).
